Kandahar – Check out Gerard Butler in the first images from Ric Roman Waugh’s new action thriller

I have been sent the first look images from Ric Roman Waugh’s (Angel Has Fallen, Greenland) action title Kandahar, featuring Gerard Butler and Navid Negahban which has now wrapped after a seven-week shoot in Saudi Arabia’s desert region of AlUla and Jeddah.

‘Kandahar’ sees Butler star as Tom Harris, an undercover CIA operative, stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. He must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding the elite special forces tasked with hunting them down.

Produced by Thunder Road Films and Capstone, with MBC, which is also co-financing and handling rights.
