Michelle Yeoh must save the Multiverse in the trailer for A24’s Everything Everywhere All At Once
As many of you will know, this week will see Spider-ManThe Villains get some character posters for Spider-Man: No Way Home encounter various characters from the Marvel Multiverse. This new film from A24 is nothing to do with the MCU, but it does feature a Multiverse and also Michelle Yeoh who starred in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the Shang-Chi movie. Oh and she also played an alternative version of her character in Star Trek: Discovery, but again, that has nothing to do with this new film. Although the very concept of a Multiverse means that all of these things may be contained in one vast Multiverse, but that’s a story for another day.
What I am trying to say in a very convoluted manner is that Multiverses are so hot right now and this new film looks fantastic. It is always great to see Michelle Yeoh in a movie and this time we get multiple versions of her.
The film is a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action-adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes.
Everything Everywhere All At Once is written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. It stars Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, James Hong, Ke Huy Quan, Harry Shum Jr and Jamie Lee Curtis. For those of you thinking, “Ke Huy Quan looks familiar,” that is because he played Short Round in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and Data from The Goonies.
The film will open the South by Southwest festival on March 11, 2022, before it opens in US cinemas on March 24th.
