Check out this wonderful Gremlins LEGO set

Ivan Guerrero got in touch to share this wonderful Gremlins LEGO set they have designed. This is what Ivan had to say about the project.

I created a LEGO playset based on the movie Gremlins by Joe Dante. I consider the film to be an ’80s classic. Surprisingly it hasn’t had a proper LEGO set, unlike other ’80s favorites Ghostbusters and Back to the Future.

I decided to submit my design to LEGO’s Ideas program. If it is able to get 10k supporters, LEGO will consider producing Gremlins as an official product. I’m really hoping to reach out to fellow fans of the movies.

I think the set might be something my fellow LFF fans might be interested in, especially with the new Gremlins animated series coming up. Hope you’ll check it out.

There are three important rules for owners of this LEGO set…

  • Do not expose it to bright lights.
  • Do not get it wet.
  • And most importantly, do not build it after midnight.

One of the most beloved movies of the 1980s, Gremlins is a classic horror-comedy from the minds of Chris Columbus, Joe Dante and Steven Spielberg. For over 35 years, this wildly original story about a small suburban town besieged by a horde of mischievous creatures on Christmas eve has delighted fans of all ages. Since its release, the Gremlins themselves have become pop culture icons that have appeared in several other films, commercials, video games and more. This proposed LEGO set pays tribute to the original movie’s many memorable scenes and revisits the world of Gremlins, Gremlins 2, and the new Secrets of the Mogwai animated series.

Recreate your favorite moments from the film with this detailed model of the snow-covered home of Billy Peltzer and his family. The set features four rooms: Billy’s bedroom, the kitchen, the living room and Randall Peltzer’s workshop. It has six minifigures, including Billy, Gizmo, Stripe, Mr. Wing and two additional Gremlins. It also includes Billy’s dog, Barney, as well as a baby-scale version of Gizmo. You’ll find many easter eggs throughout the set that reference specific props and gags from throughout the Gremlins franchise.

Unleash your little Gremlins upon your own LEGO city. Just remember to follow the rules before you start building!

Head over to the project page to support it.
