There may be a Captain Britain TV show in development
Oh, I hope this does happen as I love Captain Britain. Alan Moore and Alan Davis’ run on the comic was incredible.
The character was initially intended to be a British equivalent of Captain America. Endowed with extraordinary powers by the legendary magician Merlyn and his daughter Roma, Captain Britain was assigned to uphold the laws of Britain.
Poster artist Ciara McAvoy shared the news in a tweet that you can see below. Don’t forget that Brian Braddock’s sister, Betsy (aka Psylocke) is going to appear in X-Men: Apocalypse.
McAvoy also had this to say about the project.
For my 1000th Tweet: Who will be playing Brian Braddock in the upcoming tv series #CaptainBritain?#Marvel Stay tune! pic.twitter.com/e0gbXKjdav

That’s all we know. I hope it is a Netflix show.
Imagine if they do the Jaspar’s Warp story line?! I want to see the Fury!
If it does happen, what would you like to see in a Captain Britain TV show? Who could play Brian? Will be finally get an Excalibur TV show?
Excalibur was one of my all time favourite comic books. The Cross Time Caper was a brilliant storyline and in fact it was issue 16 that got me back into comics when I was a teenager.
UPDATE: It actually looks like this is still at the pitch stage. Produce Chris Lark took to Twitter to explain:
Ladies & Gentlemen I’m here to confirm that I and my co-prod Eleni Larchanidou are working on a Highlight Reel for a TV series based on the Marvel Comics character #CaptainBritain for 2017. Right now we are in very early stages of development for this idea and working on things like the budget for this Reel to take to Marvel for 2017 with hopes of them helping us with the series. Thank you so much for your interest in #CaptainBritain and expect more news later this year and early in 2017. Thanks so much also to @CiaraMcAvoy1 for her help with this series project too.”
