Jim Carrey and Eli Roth are working on Steve Niles’ Aleister Arcane

Aleister Arcane is a 2004 IDW comic by Steve Niles and Breehn Burns.

Aleister Green loves playing late night TV horror host Aleister Arcane in his hometown of Jackson, OK… at least, until Jackson’s establishment forces him off the air and into unhappy retirement, and an early grave. But Aleister has left a little gift behind – will Jackson ever be the same?

It now looks like it is getting a big screen adaptation as Jim Carrey and Eli Roth are working on it for Amblin Entertainment.

Jon Croker (The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death) is writing the script, with David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films producing along with Michael Aguilar. Carrey will star in and executive produce the project.

This could be a great fit for Jim Carrey. As long as the script is good I will be looking forward to seeing what they do with it.
