Netflix’s The Dig stars Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, Lily James, Johnny Flynn, Ben Chaplin, Ken Stott, and Monica Dolan.

Nothing stays lost forever. As WWII looms, a wealthy widow (CAREY MULLIGAN) hires an amateur archaeologist (RALPH FIENNES) to excavate the burial mounds on her estate. When they make a historic discovery, the echoes of Britain’s past are illuminated in the face of its uncertain future.

Directed by Simon Stone, the film is based on the novel by John Preston.

Based on a true story, THE DIG, opens in select cinemas on January 15 and arrives globally on Netflix January 29.
