Tron will live once more. Garth Davis will direct Jared Leto in the new film
We had Tron back in 1982, then Tron: Legacy in 2010. Since then there has been talk of other films set in the same universe, but nothing ever came of it.
Disney are now moving ahead with a third film. However, it will not be a direct sequel to the other films.
Garth Davis (Lion) will be directing Jared Leto in the new film. Leto’s name has been linked with various projects since 2017.
Jesse Wigutow wrote the most recent draft of the script, but there is currently no word on the plot of the new film or what character Leto will be playing.. It is a shame they are not continuing the tale from Tron: Legacy.
Leto will also produce the new film alongside Justin Springer and Emma Ludbrook.
Will Daft Punk be back for the soundtrack?
What would you like to see in a new Tron movie?
I talked about a possible Tron sequel in an episode of After the Ending and you can listen to that below.
