Killer Klowns From Outer Space could return as a TV show
Stephen Chiodo’s 1988 film Killer Klowns From Outer Space became a cult classic. Featuring Aliens who look like clowns who terrorize a small town there has been talk of various sequels or reboots over the years.
Looks like those plans are still being worked on, but it may end up as a TV show.
Chiodo spoke about it on The Movie Crypt podcast (thanks to the always awesome John Squires over at iHorror for the news).
Here is what Chiodo said about the project:
Right now, we are currently pursuing a long arch series for cable. We wondered, should we do a sequel to the first one or do we do a remake? We came up with a ‘requel’ – it’s a sequel and a remake. We’ve been developing this for a while. It’s a trilogy in four parts, and it really follows the continuing adventures of new people who are experiencing this phenomenon of a Klown invasion, and once in a while you see some of the old guys pop up and hear their stories – find out what happened over the last 25 years.
There you have it. I would be up for more Killer Klowns. How about you?
Bring on da clowns!!!
That would be great. Im a big fan of the movie and i also live in Watsonville where lots of it was filmed. I also have a car club honoring the movie. KILLER KLOWNZ car club. So i support this idea
