Junji Ito’s Uzumaki is heading to TV
Junji Ito does some of the creepiest comics I have ever read. The Enigma Of Amigara Fault still haunts me!
His story, Uzumaki, is getting a four-part miniseries adaptation by Cartoon Network’s Toonami and the anime production house Production IG.
This is the one that involves a small town that becomes cursed with spirals.
Check out the trailer below (Definitely not suitable for kids).
It is due out on Toonami in 2020 and the adaptation of the 1998 manga will feature a soundtrack composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary) and direction by Hiroshi Nagahama (The Flowers of Evil).
