James Cameron’s The Abyss may finally be heading to Blu-ray

James Cameron’s The Abyss is a favourite film of mine and I have always been disappointed that it has never been out on Blu-ray. However, August sees the film hit its 30th Anniversary which makes me feel happy, but also really old!

Skip Kimball, who has worked in the Editorial Department and on Visual Effects for films such as Avatar, Alita Battle Angel, Logan and so much more, shared this image on Instagram.

As you can see he is working on The Abyss remaster and the hashtags mention Blu-ray.

Now I am not saying this is definitive proof that it is finally happening, but good golly, I like to think it is. Could it even get a cinema re-release?
