Aquaman – The Trench

Terminator 6

James Cameron has revealed the working title for the new Terminator movie. “We’re calling it, Terminator: Dark Fate,” Cameron reveals. “That’s our working title right now.”

The writer-director is serving as executive producer on the Tim Miller directed sixth entry in the franchise, which will reset the continuity clock back to Judgment Day.

MacGruber

Jorma Taccone has been pitching a MacGruber television series to streaming networks.

“We just spent the last two days pitching it as a series,” reveals Taccone. “Eight-to-ten episodes. I’m really hoping that when you print this there’s an announcement that it’s actually happening, because I know nothing right now. This is the first time I’ve mentioned it, so this may be a tragic interview.”

Originally an SNL sketch that parodied MacGyver, there was a film made back in 2010 that starred Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Val Kilmer, Ryan Phillippe, and Maya Rudolph.

Taccone is developing a feature-film spoof on the Fyre Festival in collaboration with Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg and Seth Rogen.

The Walking Dead

Danai Gurira is leaving The Walking Dead. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Gurira, who officially joined the series in season three as Michonne, has signed a deal to return for her final season of the zombie drama. Under her new deal, Gurira will return in a limited capacity that will be interspersed throughout season 10.

It is thought she will join the three Walking Dead movies that AMC is planning with former leading man Andrew Lincoln.

Creepshow

Details on the writers for the new Creepshow series have been released:

  • “Silvery Waters of Lake Champlain” by Joe Hill (NOS4A2)
  • “House of the Head” by Josh Malerman (Bird Box)
  • “The Companion” by Joe Lansdale (The Bottoms)
  • “The Man in the Suitcase” by Christopher Buehlman (The Lesser Dead)
  • “All Hallows Eve” by Bruce Jones (The Hitchhiker)
  • “Night of the Paw” by John Esposito (The Walking Dead: Webisodes)
  • “Bad Wolf Down” by Rob Schrab (Monster House)

According to Collider, the series will also feature an adaptation of an “as-yet-unannounced” Stephen King story. Greg Nicotero will direct several segments from the series in addition to his executive-producer duties.

“Having the opportunity to embrace the spirit of Creepshow and expand on what George and Steve created is, without a doubt, a lifelong dream come true,” Greg Nicotero said in a statement. “Having grown up in Pittsburgh, Creepshow lives in a special place for me. I had the good fortune to visit the set as a teenager. I was able to look behind the curtain of filmmaking, and it changed me forever. I’m honored to continue telling the stories in the ‘comic book come to life’ world that fans fell in love with. This fall we will be ‘opening the coffin’ and unleashing upon the world our demented and ghastly stories, crafted by the best in business.”

Alien

Remember when Neill Blomkamp was talking about doing a new Alien movie that would feature Ripley and Hicks? It sounded great, but got killed when Ridley Scott decided to go on with Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.

However, there seems to be something stirring about a new Alien film and James Cameron is involved. In the interview below, Cameron was asked if he could give Neill Blomkamp a call about making a new Alien movie, and this is what Cameron said:

“I’m working on that, yeah.”
