The Crow remake loses Jason Momoa and Corin Hardy
The new film adaptation of James O’Barr’s The Crow has been in development hell for a long time. Alex Proyas brought us the 1994 original that starred Brandon Lee. The latest version is slowly gathering speed, with some character details released back in April.
Jason Momoa (Justice League) was set to play Eric Draven while Corin Hardy (The Hallow) was directing and filming was due to begin in Budapest. However, Deadline is reporting that Momoa and Hardy left the project this morning.
Samuel Hadida, Kevin Misher and Ed Pressman are producing.
It seems Momoa and Hardy left due to creative and financial differences with Samuel Hadida, whose Davis Films holds the underlying rights and who was financing the film.
The remake had a release date of 11th October 2019, but obviously, that is now all up in the air.
I am still not sure about a remake of this one. Do you think they should go ahead with it or take this as a sign and put the project to bed?
