The Mos Eisley Five – SNL

– A new Logan’s Run movie has been in the works for many years. Now Warner Bros has just closed a deal to kickstart the project, written by Hunger Games writer Peter Craig and directed by X-Men: Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg. The story is set in a utopian society in the future where the population and consumption of resources are maintained in equilibrium by killing people as they reach 30. It follows Logan 5, a ‘Sandman’ killer, as he runs off his Jessica, while being chased by another Sandman, after he faces death himself – Deadline

“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that,” Arnold Schwarzenegger tells TheArnoldFans in a new interview. “I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”

Jessica Alba is set to executive produce and star opposite Gabrielle Union in NBC’s upcoming Bad Boys spinoff pilot. Union will star in the untitled drama as Syd Burnett, her character from “Bad Boys 2.” In the show, she has left the DEA and now has a fresh start in her new job as an LAPD detective. Alba will play Nancy McKenna, Burnett’s partner. McKenna joined the Army out of high school and spent most of the 2000s in Iraq and Afghanistan. Women weren’t allowed in combat, so she joined the military police to get closer to the action. McKenna is now a detective raising two preteen stepkids with her husband – Variety

Warner Bros. has set a release date for The Six Billion Dollar Man. The Six Billion Dollar Man will hit cinemas on May 31, 2019. The film, starring Mark Wahlberg, is based on the classic television series The Six Million Dollar Man and the novel Cyborg by Martin Caidin. The story follows military officer, Steve Austin, who becomes part of a top secret government program after a horrific accident leaves him near death. With the help of cutting-edge technology, Steve is brought back to life with extraordinary abilities, making him the world’s first truly bionic man.

– Season 3 of Netflix’s Stranger Things has cast Maya Thurman-Hawke as one of the new leads and upped Priah Ferguson to a recurring role. Hawke will play an “alternative girl” bored with her mundane day job. She seeks excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins, Ind. Ferguson appeared last season in a guest role as Erica, Lucas’ strong-willed, little sister. The scene-stealer returns in the next installment with an army of her own friends. No longer content with sitting on the sidelines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous new threat.

Perdita Weeks has been cast in the Magnum P.I. reboot pilot at CBS in a lead role, Variety has learned. Weeks will play Juliet Higgins, the majordomo (i.e., property manager) for the large Hawaiian estate of writer Robin Masters, for whom Magnum ostensibly works security and lives in his guest house. The character is described as commanding, confident, and tough, who uses sarcasm to deflect emotion and is hard to get to know. In the original “Magnum P.I.,” Higgins was played by John Hillerman. As previously announced, Jay Hernandez will take over the role of Magnum that was originally played by Tom Selleck.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are directing The Flash movie. News broke in January that the Horrible Bosses screenwriters had entered negotiations to direct Flashpoint for Warner Bros. and DC, but during the press rounds for their hit action-comedy Game Night, the filmmaking duo clarified that their deal to direct The Flash movie wasn’t closed—meaning it was always possible things might not work out. But sources close to the situation have confirmed to Collider that Daley and Goldstein have now closed their deal to direct The Flash.

-SNL took a crack at Star Wars. The Mos Eisley Five (Mikey Day, Kate McKinnon, Charles Barkley) try to make a deal with Goba (Kenan Thompson) to free a captured pilot (Pete Davidson).
