– Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Kingsman) is in talks to produce and potentially direct Courage, an action sci-fi script by Stranger Things Exec producer Karl Gajdusek, whose logline is being kept under wraps. It’s an epic premise, a drama in the vein of Inception and Edge of Tomorrow – Deadline

– Bradley Whitford, Toby Kebbell, and Scoot McNairy have joined Karyn Kusama’s crime thriller Destroyer, starring Nicole Kidman, Tatiana Maslany, and Sebastian Stan. The film follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell, who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past – Variety

– Andy Serkis spoke to Empire about playing Snoke (top image) in Star Wars: The Last Jedi – “Snoke is bloody dark; way darker than Palpatine. He’s riddled with this osteoporosis so his body’s twisted, like a corkscrew. He’s incredibly damaged, so there’s a bizarre vulnerability about him. Beneath that vulnerability, though, is this intense hatred. He’s definitely not a Sith, but he’s certainly at the darker end of the Force. More than half of the scripts for Season 2, which had been targeting a mid-2018 premiere, have been written. Search is underway for a new showrunner. – Andrew Kreisberg has been fired from his role as executive producer on superhero dramas The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow amid multiple allegations of sexual harassment. “After a thorough investigation, Warner Bros. Television Group has terminated Andrew Kreisberg’s employment, effective immediately,” said the studio in a statement. “Greg Berlanti will assume additional responsibilities on both “The Flash,” where he will work closely with executive producer/co-showrunner Todd Helbing, and “Supergirl,” where he will work closely with executive producers/co-showrunners Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller. We remain committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”

– Maggie Grace (Lost, Taken) has signed on as a series regular for Season 4 of AMC’s The Walking Dead prequel Fear The Walking Dead. Details on her role will be announced at a later date. New series regulars also include Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman and Lennie James who plays fan favorite Morgan Jones on The Walking Dead, and joins Fear as part of a series crossover. – Deadline
