Lethal Weapon 5 may be heading our way with Gibson, Glover and Donner!

There is a currently a Lethal Weapon TV show that stars Damon Wayans (My Wife and Kids, In Living Color) as Roger Murtaugh and Clayne Crawford (A Walk to Remember, Rectify) as Riggs. Read our review of that here.

However, it seems that Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Richard Donner are thinking about making a Lethal Weapon 5!

Back in 2014 there were plans to do a movie reboot with Justin Lin directing and Chris Hemsworth playing Riggs but that never happened. According to Deadline, the original trio are all up for making the fifth instalment happen. Donner would direct and Channing Gibson (Lethal Weapon 4) would script the film for Warner Bros.

The last film was out back in 1998.

Is this a good idea or not? I really don’t know. I do love the first three films, but it feels like too long has passed for this to work.
