Melanie Laurent has been set to play the female lead and Nick Kroll has been set to play an Israeli operative in Operation Finale. They join Oscar Isaac in the MGM drama about the successful hunt and capture of notorious Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in the 1960s. Ben Kingsley is playing Eichmann, and the film will begin production October 1 in Argentina – Deadline

Empire had this new image of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider movie.

CBS is developing a TV adaptation of L.A. Confidential. Based on James Ellroy’s classic novel of the same name, the series would follow the paths of three homicide detectives, a female reporter, and a Hollywood actress as they intersect while the detectives pursue a sadistic serial killer through the seedy underbelly of 1950’s Los Angeles – Variety

– The Accountant’s Gavin O’Connor is set to direct Suicide Squad 2 and will also take a pass on the script.

Netflix has ordered two seasons of Ryan Murphy‘s drama series Ratched, which is a prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The series is set to star Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, American Crime Story) as a younger version of the cruel Nurse Ratched, and will be executive produced by Murphy and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest producer Michael DouglasDeadline

– Director Bryan Singer has added Lucy Boynton (Sing Street) to play Mary Austin in Bohemian Rhapsody. Charting the birth and huge rise of Queen to rock superstardom, the film will take the band to the heights of their show-stopping appearance at Live Aid in 1985. It features the involvement of fellow Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor, looking to keep the story authentic and the tunes right. They’ll also be represented on screen too, with Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello and Gwilym Lee as Taylor, John Deacon and May respectively. Austin was Mercury’s lifelong companion; even when he came out to her, the two remained close friends. You can see Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) as Freddie Mercury here.

Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) is set to direct Treasure of Ali Baba & The 40 Thieves, a global adventure adapted from the 1,001 Arabian Nights Tales – An adventure novelist gets caught up in a global conspiracy and a hunt for a mysterious antiquity after discovering that his father had a map to the legendary treasure of Ali Baba.
