- Dolph Lundgren is joining Jason Momoa in the James Wan directed Aquaman movie. Lundgren will be playing King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebel, who claims Mera (Amber Heard) as his own and wants to kill Aquaman – THR
- Hugo Weaving has joined the cast of Universal and MRC’s adaptation of Mortal Engines, which Peter Jackson is writing and producing. Hera Hilmar, Robbie Sheehan, Ronan Rafterty, and Stephen Lang are also on board – Variety
- Benedict Cumberbatch is in early negotiations with Fox Searchlight to star in The Man in the Rockefeller Suit for Fox Searchlight Pictures. The film tells the true story of Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, an imposter who conned his way into various jobs on Wall Street — as well as a marriage — posing as a member of the Rockefeller family. After achieving a life in rarefied social circles, his past finally catches up with him and he fears losing custody of his only daughter – Deadline
- Calista Flockhart and Tyler Hoechlin are returning as Cat Grant and Superman for the final few episodes of Supergirl Season 2 – TVLine
- Temuera Morrison (“Moana,” “Aquaman”) and Dan Ewing head the cast of “Occupation,” a sci-fi action film, to shoot in Australia from next month. The story involves a group of small-town residents who must band together after a devastating ground invasion. The film is directed by Luke Sparke (Red Billabong) – Variety

- Edgar Wright is looking at making an adaptation of Andrew Smith’s YA novel Grasshopper Jungle. - Netflix series Grace and Frankie has been renewed for season 4. Lisa Kudrow has joined as a recurring character.
- Christopher Lloyd is joining William Shatner in a new comedy film called Senior Moment. Shatner plays a retired Top Gun Navy pilot who used to test aircraft for NASA. After speeding around town in his vintage convertible hot rod with his best friend (Lloyd) in tow, he gets caught in a major crackdown to get dangerous senior drivers off the road, resulting in his car being impounded and his license revoked.
- Get a sneak peek at the newest initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm – Star Wars Forces of Destiny – that celebrates the inspiring stories of iconic heroes from a galaxy far, far away… It will feature will feature Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, and Felicity Jones reprising their roles as Rey, Maz Kanata and Jyn Erso respectively.
