Video Essay – Batman v Superman: Allegory

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a mess. I love the characters, but they weren’t quite the Batman, Superman, Lex and others that I know and love.

allegory

a story, poem, or picture which can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

There are moments I enjoy watching, but it is just that…a series of moments that look cool, but don’t really add up to a functioning whole.

Be that as it may, V put together this beautiful video that looks at some of the art works, literature and films that inspired or were hidden within the film.
