Mark Wahlberg is Drake in Uncharted movie. De Niro and Pesci may play Father and Uncle

Pity poor Nathan Fillion. He would have been so good as Nathan Drake, but it appears that the rumour from a few weeks ago that Mark Wahlberg would be playing Drake are true. It also turns out Wahlberg won’t be starring in the remake of The Crow.

While speaking to MTV about The Fighter, Wahlberg confirmed the news.

He said that director David O. Russell has started writing. “David is one of the best writer/directors I’ve ever worked with. The idea that he has is just insane. So hopefully we’ll be making that movie this summer.”

When asked whether Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci would be in the adaption he had this to say.

“That’s who he wants to write the parts for. I talked to Pesci about it and I know David’s people have talked to [Robert De Niro].”

“I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure.”
