Creature Commandos – Watch the trailer for the new DC animated series

Creature Commandos is the first television series in the DC Universe (DCU) and also our first look at the DCU under James Gunn. All seven episodes were written by James Gunn, who serves as showrunner, while Yves “Balak” Bigerel serves as supervising director.

The show features the voices of David Harbour, Indira Varma, Alan Tudyk, Maria Bakalova, Zoe Chao, Steve Agee, Sean Gunn and more. Varma voices the Bride of Frankenstein; Frank Grillo plays Rick Flag Sr.; Harbour voices Eric Frankenstein; Chao plays Nina Mazursky, an amphibious scientist; Sean Gunn voices G.I. Robot, a military android; and Tudyk voices Doctor Phosphorus.

Sean Gunn also reprises his role as Weasel from The Suicide Squad, and Viola Davis is back as Amanda Waller. Davis is also set to star in a spinoff of the Max series Peacemaker, titled Waller.

James Gunn had previously said that most of the voice actors will play the same characters should they appear in a future live-action DC production. Grillo will play a live-action Rick Flag Sr. in Peacemaker Season 2.
