Bambi: The Reckoning – Oh Deer! Watch the trailer for the new horror movie

Lots of fairy tale and Disney characters have recently entered the public domain. That means anyone can use the characters in films, books and so on. This is the reason why we got the low budget horror movie Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey, which has a sequel on the way.

Inspired by the animated movie Bambi (from 1942), this film will transform the innocent deer we know into a killing machine. The story follows Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron) who find themselves in a car wreck and soon hunted down by the vicious killing machine, Bambi.

Jagged Edge Productions are behind the Poohniverse films, with Bambi: The Reckoning being the next one to grace our screens. Then next year we can see Poohniverse: Monsters Assembled (that’s a real film title) which will see Sleeping Beauty, Tigger, Tinkerbell, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Bambi, Peter, Owl, Rabbit, Pinocchio, Cricket, Piglet and Hook teaming up to cause mayhem.
