Concrete: Defining Humanity Through Inhumanity – A look at Paul Chadwick’s long-running comic book
Paul Chadwick’s Concrete is a comic I discovered many year’s ago. I have always been a big comic book fan and love all the different stories and genres they can cover.
This video looks at the long-running, independent series Concrete. Written and illustrated by Paul Chadwick. Published by Dark Horse Comics.
The story follows a normal man, Ron Lithgow, who has his brain put into a strange rock like creature by aliens. He then goes on adventures around Earth. The stories have a realness and grounded quality to them despite the central conceit being so out there.
The video from Strange Brain Parts takes a deep dive into the series. There had been plans to adapt the comic into a film at one point but that sadly fell through.
Just thought I would share as I feel it is a series that more people should read.
