Richard Armitage is The Man From Rome in the trailer for the new conspiracy thriller

Vatican intelligence operative Father Quart (Richard Armitage) investigates an anonymous message sent to the pope concerning a crumbling Spanish church that “kills to defend itself.” A deep conspiracy unfolds that puts Father Quart’s loyalty and faith to the test.

The film is directed by Sergio Dow (The Day You Love Me), who co-wrote it with Carmen López. It is based on the novel The Seville Communion by Arturo Perez-Reverte.

The Man From Rome stars Richard Armitage (The Hobbit), Amaia Salamanca (Gran Hotel), Fionnula Flanagan (The Others), Franco Nero (Django Unchained) and Paul Guilfoyle (Don’t Look Up).
