Jay Baruchel invents the first smartphone in the Blackberry trailer

The true story of the meteoric rise and catastrophic demise of the world’s first smartphone, BLACKBERRY is a whirlwind ride through a ruthlessly competitive Silicon Valley at breakneck speeds.

Based on the book “Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry” by Jacquie McNish and Sean Silcoff, the film is directed by Matt Johnson. It stars Jay Baruchel, Glenn Howerton, Matt Johnson, Saul Rubinek, Cary Elwes, Rich Sommer, Michael Ironside, Martin Donovan, Michelle Giroux, SungWon Cho, and Mark Critch.

Blackberry hits US cinemas on 12th May 2023.
