What if Tom Hiddleston was Sherlock’s other brother?

The trailer for Sherlock series 4 dropped the other day (you can watch that here). During the recent San Diego Comic Con, Mark Gatiss and Amanda Abbington posed with Tom Hiddleston.

Gatiss also tweeted the image with the caption “Blud.” That got lots of people wondering whether Hiddleston could be playing Sherlock’s other brother.

Gatiss plays Mycroft Holmes on the show and he did mention a third brother during Sherlock’s third series finale – “I’m not given to outbursts of brotherly compassion. You know happened to the other one.”

The BBC liked the idea and put together this video that uses footage from Sherlock and Tom Hiddleston in The Night Manager to show us what it could be like.
