NYCC 2022: Demián Bichir, Grace Gummer, Andre Hinderake and the cast discuss Showtime’s Let The Right One In
At New York Comic Con 2022, I had the chance to speak with the cast and writer of the new Showtime series, Let The Right One In.
Inspired by the original hit Swedish novel and film, the series centers on Mark (Demián Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez), whose lives were changed 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive. With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN will upend genre expectations, turning a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength, and compassion.
First up, Oscar-nominated actor Demián Bichir, young actress Madison Taylor Baez, and writer/showrunner Andre Hinderaker discuss the show and its themes and characters.
Next up, actors Anika Noni Rose and Ian Foreman discuss their roles as mother and son.
Finally, cast members Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot) and Jacob Buster (Colony) talk about their characters on the show.
