National Treasure: Edge of History gets a new trailer

Lisette Olivera stars as Jess Morales, an adventurous 20-year-old dreamer who, along with the help of her friends, sets off on a journey to recover lost Pan-American treasures from around the globe, while uncovering family secrets along the way.

Mira Nair directs the pilot episode. The show stars Lisette Alexis, Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Jake Austin Walker, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Justin Bartha and Harvey Keitel.

Showrunners Marianne and Cormac Wibberley spoke to EW and the conversation turned to Nicolas Cage and the possibility of him returning as Ben Gates.

Cormac describes this hypothetical meeting between Ben and Jess as “Tony Stark gets to visit Peter Parker.”

That’s basically how we saw the relationship if Ben Gates ever showed up. She’s basically Peter Parker to him and would be like, ‘Oh my God, it’s Ben Gates! What do I do?’ That’s how our universe is. We would love to bring any of the other veterans if we get another season. We have roles for all of them.

National Treasure: Edge of History hits Disney+ 14th December 2022.
