HBO is developing a Game of Thrones Jon Snow sequel show, but does anyone want it?

There is a Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the DragonHouse of the Dragon – The Game of Thrones prequel gets a new teaser trailer, heading our way this August, but now comes word of a sequel series that will follow Kit Harington’s Jon Snow.

THR is reporting that HBO The network has entered into early development on its first sequel show and Kit Harington is attached to reprise the role should it move forward.

In Thrones’ eighth-and-final season, Jon Snow discovered his true name was Aegon Targaryen, a potential heir to the Iron Throne. In the series finale, he was exiled from Westeros and journeyed North of the Wall with the Wildlings to leave his old life behind.

It is the eighth season that basically killed Game of Thrones for many people, myself included, and that is the hurdle that HBO has to cross to make people interested in a sequel series.

We would have to know who would be the showrunners and writers on the new show. As long as David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the showrunners and people who kept forgetting various events and people on the original show, are not attached in any way to the sequel I will at least think about watching the first episode of a Jon Snow show.
