Edgar Wright is set to join BBC Maestro’s platform of world-class experts later this year, sharing his personal experience and expertise in the world of film. The award-winning filmmaker behind Last Night in Soho, Baby Driver, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Hot Fuzz will provide insight into his own writing and directing process in this exclusive filmmaking course for BBC Maestro.

Spanning over 20 lessons, aspiring filmmakers will receive both technical and commercial advice, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the realities of filmmaking along the way. Wright’s course will be accompanied by extensive course notes to provide viewers with further guidance and practical exercises to strengthen their own craft. By the end of his course, viewers will be equipped with the skills needed to develop ideas and concepts into tangible collaborations with cast and crew alike.

To celebrate this new project with BBC Maestro, Wright is offering viewers a chance to have their film questions answered. To submit a question, tag @bbcmaestro on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook and include the hashtag #EdgarWrightBBCM. A select number of questions will be answered in a dedicated Q&A lesson in his upcoming course. Questions must be submitted by 23:59 BST on Thursday 5th May 2022 to be considered.
