Matt Damon is Odysseus in the first image from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey

Christopher Nolan’s next film is The Odyssey. It stars Matt Damon as Odysseus and Universal has released this first image from of Damon in a costume.

The film also stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Benny Safdie, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, and Elliot Page.

The mythic action epic is being filmed across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in cinemas everywhere on 17th July 2026.
