Alien: Earth – The TV series from Noah Hawley gets a new teaser trailer

The recent Alien: Romulus film has done well at the box office, and the Alien: Earth show is due out sometime next year. The show is written and directed by Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion) and is a prequel to the original 1979 Alien film.

A teaser (it is very much a teaser) and new plot synopsis of the show has been released.

When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.

Alien: Earth is set in 2120, well after Prometheus which took place in 2093 and two years before the events of Alien.

The show also stars Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

I am really not sure about this, to be honest. I wish it wasn’t a prequel as that can really end up messing things up. However, I do like Hawley’s other work so fingers crossed this is one of the good ones.

The series is a joint-venture production between 20th Television and Scott Free Productions, and is set to be released on FX on Hulu and Disney+ in 2025.
