Rippy – Michael Biehn faces a zombie kangaroo in the trailer for the new Australian horror-comedy

First, there was Skippy and now we have Rippy.

Beware the zombie kangaroo. Check out the trailer for Rippy (previously called The Red), an upcoming Aussie horror comedy movie starring Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens), Tess Haubrich (The Wolverine), Angie Milliken (The Condemned) and Aaron Pedersen (Mystery Road).

Rippy follows Maddy (Tess Haubrich), a young sheriff who is obsessed with living up to her deceased father’s legacy. When the town’s residents are found ripped to bits by an unknown creature, Maddy works with her uncle Schmitty (Michael Biehn) and aunt Donna (Angie Milliken) to track down the undead beast before it leaves a trail of carnage.

This does remind me of Black Sheep, the New Zealand film about zombie sheep.

Rippy is directed by Ryan Coonan, who co-wrote it with Richard Barcaricchio.

The film hits US cinemas and on VOD from 18th October 2024.
