New Halloween games are heading our way with John Carpenter involved
Boss Team Games, in association with Compass International Pictures and Further Front, have announced a partnership to develop two video games based on the 1978 horror classic Halloween.
Both games will be developed in conjunction with the Producers of the Halloween Franchise, allowing players to relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Boss Team Games to bring Michael Myers and Halloween to the digital world,” said President of Compass International Pictures, Malek Akkad. “We are committed to delivering the scares, frights and excitement of the original Halloween film to console and PC players with these new projects.”
Details are still tightly wrapped, but one of the games, still early in development, utilizes Unreal Engine 5 and will also have the Master of Horror himself, John Carpenter, intimately involved.
Carpenter said, “As a huge gamer myself, I’m thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game, and my hope is to scare you silly.”
