The Apprentice, starring Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong, gets an October release date
STUDIOCANAL announces today that The Apprentice, Ali Abbasi’s searing exploration of Donald Trump’s rise to power in 1980s America, will be released in cinemas across the UK & Ireland on 18 October 2024.
Directed by Ali Abbasi and written by Gabriel Sherman, THE APPRENTICE stars Emmy® & Golden Globe Award Nominee and Silver Bear Winner Sebastian Stan (Pam & Tommy) as Donald Trump, Emmy®, Golden Globe Award and SAG Award® Winner Jeremy Strong (Succession) as the firebrand Roy Cohn, Martin Donovan (Tenet) as Fred Trump Sr, and Academy Award® & Golden Globe Award Nominee Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) as Ivana Trump.
The film premiered In Competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
THE APPRENTICE is a dive into the underbelly of the American empire. It charts a young Donald Trump’s ascent to power through a Faustian deal with the influential right-wing lawyer and political fixer Roy Cohn.
