The first image and plot details for Tron: Ares have been released

Jared Leto shared the first image from Tron: Ares, the third film in the series after 2010’s Tron: Legacy, and the original Tron back in 1982.

Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings

Leto stars in the film alongside Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson.

Joachim Rønning directs the film, which is due out in 2025.
