3 movie adaptations we would love to see

The film industry has become a rather versatile entertainment medium, as filmmakers have been able to take ideas from a plethora of sources and use them as a source of inspiration to create some of the biggest blockbuster hits to be released in theatres worldwide.

The game sector has arguably been one of the niches which has proven most fruitful for directors. There have been numerous box office hits produced and released based on games across all genres.

Whether it be video games like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Super Mario Bros, Pokemon, and more, or even casino games like blackjack, poker, or roulette, there have been many adaptations that have managed to combine the two entertainment mediums together. Perhaps we will be able to see a bingo-themed movie in the future involving a player who looks at a Coral Lotto Review before signing up and strikes lucky, providing everyone with a feel-good story. Given what the film sector has been able to produce in the past, it is not unforeseeable.

In line with thinking about films that we would like to see based on video games, there are three that we believe definitely need to be adapted and made as soon as possible!

Red Dead Redemption 2

It is almost impossible to fathom just why we have yet to see Red Dead Redemption 2 be made into a Hollywood blockbuster. The video game franchise has all of the components that can produce an exceptional film, with its themes and storylines easy to replicate and depict on the big screen.

Although Wild Westerns may no longer be as popular as they once were, an adaptation of this video game could be enough to make them mainstream once again. With various stories being told, there is always something happening, making it a film that enthusiasts of action and Westerns would immediately lap up as soon as it was released.

Assassin’s Creed

The Prince of Persia is an action-adventure game that has been given the film treatment, so it is not out of the realm of possibility to see an Assassin’s Creed movie be produced. The series has a number of epic storylines that can be transferred seamlessly to the theatre.

The characters used are compelling and incredibly intriguing, with the usage of the environments found in the game and the characteristics of the main protagonist providing audiences with something different. If an initial release were to do well, there is every possibility that there could be sequels, as there is so much that can be done with the franchise.

Grand Theft Auto

While it is possible to suggest there are films that are loosely based on the franchise due to the various aspects that may be found in them, there would definitely be a market for a Grand Theft Auto release. GTA has become one of the world’s renowned game franchises, and it would be incredible to see it be played out as a movie.

Given that there are various instalments in the franchise, movie directors could look to use each title to form an individual movie. They could follow the stories of the main characters and portray them as they go on missions to complete whatever tasks they need in order to survive. A lot of the plot is already available to directors, all they would have to do is to make it a blockbuster hit!
