Skyline: Warpath – Check out Iko Uwais and Scott Adkins in new images from the fourth Skyline movie

You may not have realised it, but 2010’s Skyline has already had two sequels – 2017’s Beyond Skyline and 2020’s Skylines – and now we are getting a fourth film, Skyline: Warpath.

Deadline had the news and these new images, but they don’t appear to be aware of the 2020 film in their write up. However, the story of this film does pick up after the events of Beyond Skyline and carries on the story of Iko Uwais’ character Sua.

Set within the ‘Skyline‘ universe and five years after the events of Beyond Skyline, the movie follows Sua (Uwais) as he leads The Resistance against the aliens. When he discovers the powerful alien Radial Gauntlet, he must deal with both the corrupt Eric (Scott Adkins) and the army of alien invaders.

To be honest, I have always had a soft spot for these films. The first had a lot of flaws but the visual effects were amazing and those images of thousands of humans being lifted into the skies was quite chilling. The alien design was also very cool and the story evolved through the following films.

This new film is written and directed by Liam O’Donnell (Beyond Skyline, Skylines) and stars Iko Uwais (The Raid), Scott Adkins (One More Shot, John Wick: Chapter 4), Louis Mandylor, Randall J. Bacon and Yayan Ruhain.

“Since we first met Iko Uwais, Matthew Chausse and I have been pushing to make a star vehicle for him like Warpath. Pairing him with the truly versatile action legend Scott Adkins, along with XYZ films, the company that started things off for us, has been a dream come true,” said Liam O’Donnell.

The film is currently filming in Indonesia and produced by Matthew Chausse and Evangelo Kioussis. The deal was negotiated by Chausse on behalf of the filmmakers with Maxime Cottray from XYZ Films. Palisades Park Pictures is handling international sales.
