Pedro Pascal is in talks to play Reed Richards in Marvel’s Fantastic Four

It is still in the early stages but Pedro Pascal is in talks to play Reed Richards, the leader of Marvel’s Fantastic Four

Deadline had the news that scheduling is still being worked out, but multiple sources close to the negotiations are saying it’s headed in the right direction.

I am not sure about Pascal as Mr. Fantastic. He is a great actor, but I feel he may be too old for the role, especially as it will be the start of a mulit-picture series. However, I could see him being great as Doctor Doom.

As for the other members of the team, strong rumours suggest it will be Vanessa Kirby (Napoleon) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.

Other rumours state that Galactus will be the big bad of the film and Javier Bardem is thought to be voicing the Eater of Worlds if scheduling works out. There is also word that a female version of the Silver Surfer will be his Herald.

Matt Shakman is directing the film which is currently in pre-production at Pinewood Studios in England.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will produce.
