When an environmental crisis sees London submerged by flood waters, a young family is torn apart in the chaos. As a woman and her newborn try and find their way home, the profound novelty of motherhood is brought into sharp focus in this intimate and poetic portrayal of family survival.

Directed by BAFTA winner Mahalia Belo (The Long Song) from a script by Emmy® nominee Alice Birch (Normal People, Dead Ringers) and based on Megan Hunter’s acclaimed 2017 novel, The End We Start From stars Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Joel Fry (Cruella), Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Gina McKee (Notting Hill), Nina Sosanya (Love Actually), with Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog).

The End We Start From is produced by Leah Clarke (The Mauritanian), Liza Marshall (Mary & George), Adam Ackland (The Electrical Life of Louis Wain), Amy Jackson (Aftersun) and Sophie Hunter. Signature Entertainment presents The End We Start From only in cinemas 19th January.
