Russell Crowe is The Pope’s Exorcist in the new trailer and first look featurette

Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe), The Pope’s Exorcist thriller movie follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.

The Pope’s Exorcist is directed by Julius Avery (Overlord, Samaritan). Michael Petroni and Evan Spiliotopoulos wrote the screenplay, which is based on books written by Father Gabriele Amorth.

Franco Nero plays the Pope and the film also stars Laurel Marsden, River Hawkins, Pablo Raybould, Alex Essoe, Daniel Zovatto, and Ralph Ineson.

The Pope’s Exorcist hits UK cinemas on 7th April and then US cinemas on 14th April 2023.
