Oscar Peterson: Black + White is an inspiring feature documentary, exploring the seven-decade career of a jazz master: from his days as a child prodigy in Montreal, to the development of his signature sound on recordings with his trio. From there, we see his collaborations with major stars of his era, to his tenacious experiences confronting racism and segregation while touring the United States, which culminated with his epic composition, “Hymn to Freedom”.
