Why Vegas is popular with Celebs

The Entertainment Capital of the World, as Las Vegas likes to be called, is an internationally renowned resort city in Nevada. Famous for its casinos, shows, shopping, clubs, food and bright lights, it is one of the most visited tourist destinations on the planet.

However, it’s not just tourists who flock to Vegas with the city a haven for top celebrities, including Floyd Mayweather Jr., Celine Dion, Mike Tyson, Coolio and Nicholas Cage. Many of them live in the multi-million-dollar mansions outside the city, or stay in one of the numerous luxury hotels and apartments on the strip.

One of the reasons it’s popular with A-list stars, is because many of them are performing in the city doing shows, shooting movies or making music. But it’s not just work that brings them to Vegas, they also come to party.

Here’s our guide to some of the most popular celebrity hangouts:

OMNIA Nightclub at Caesars Palace

Gordon Ramsay Steak

Mr Celebrity Chef himself, Gordon Ramsey, has his own restaurant in Vegas called Gordon Ramsay Steak. It’s a sleek, high-end joint with a delicious menu and a rolling steak trolley – which is reason enough to book a table.

It’s also a great place to spot a celebrity or two, with the Beckhams and Nick Cage, just some of the many stars seen eating here.

The Palms Casino Resort

Las Vegas is the most popular celebrity casino destination in the world, with the city only an hour’s flight from Hollywood. The luxury Palms Casino Resort is an A-listers’ favourite place to stay and play when they’re in town, and it’s not difficult to see why.

The resort offers super deluxe Sky Villas and Mega Suites with facilities beyond the imagination of mere mortals. The world-renowned Kingpin Suite is a staggering 5,000 sq. ft and even boasts a bowling lane.

But one of the main attractions of the Palms resort is its luxurious casino. There’s a high limit room, an array of slots and all the classic casino games on offer, including Baccarat, Poker, Roulette, Pai Gai Poker, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Craps and Blackjack.
