LAIKA’s ParaNorman returns to cinemas this Halloween to celebrate its 10th Anniversary
In celebration of its 10th Anniversary, Park Circus has announced that it will be bringing LAIKA’s critically acclaimed ParaNorman back into 150+ UK and Irish cinemas for the first time in stunning 4K from 28th October 2022.
Directed by Chris Butler (who also wrote the screenplay from his original idea) and Sam Fell the film features the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Leslie Mann.
ParaNorman is the thrilling story of 11-year-old Norman Babcock (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who must use his unique ability to see and speak with the dead to save his town from a centuries-old curse. In addition to spooky zombies, he’ll also have to take on mysterious ghosts, wily witches and, worst of all, clueless grown-ups. Now caught in a wild race against time to save his family, friends, and town, Norman must bravely summon up all that makes a hero – courage and compassion – as he finds his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
Oscar®and BAFTA-nominated in 2012 for ‘Best Animated Film’ and newly remastered in 2022, fans can now experience ParaNorman in full 4K quality across nationwide cinemas, including: Vue, Odeon, Cineworld and Picturehouse. Three further LAIKA favourites have also been remastered in 4K for the first time and will screen exclusively at Cineworld and Picturehouse: Coraline (from 21 October), The Boxtrolls (from 4 November), and Kubo and the Two Strings (from 11 November).
To celebrate LAIKA’s films in 4K for the first time, Picturehouse Finsbury Park in London will host an exclusive exhibition of LAIKA puppets from 15 October 2022.
