Bethesda’s Starfield gameplay footage looks incredible

Take No Man’s Sky and throw in Skyrim, with a dash of The Outer Worlds and that’s the kind of vibe I am getting from this new video for Bethesda’s Starfield.

Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.

Some of the footage does look stunning and I love the fact you can build and customize the look of your spaceship. Todd Howard also shared the news that there will be 1000 explorable planets in the game.

Will it play as good as it looks? Only time will tell, but I keep going back to Skyrim (as do Bethesda) so there is a good chance this ends up being something special.
