Watch Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand in the new teaser for Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth

Apple Original Films and A24 have joined forces The Tragedy of Macbeth, the latest film from Academy Award-winner Joel Coen.

Written and directed by Joel Coen and produced by Joel Coen, Frances McDormand and Robert Graf, a bold and fierce adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic, a tale of murder, madness, ambition, and wrathful cunning. It stars Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand, Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Harry Melling, Brendan Gleeson and Kathryn Hunter.

The film reunites frequent Coen collaborators including Bruno Delbonnel as the cinematographer, Mary Zophres as costume designer, and a score from Carter Burwell. In addition to directing, Coen produces the film alongside McDormand and Robert Graf.

In Theaters December 25. Streaming on Apple TV+ January 14.
