The first trailer for the new Scream movie has been released

Ghostface in Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group’s “Scream.”

2022’s Scream will be the fifth installment of the Scream film series. The film is a direct sequel to 2011’s Scream 4, and the first in the series not to be directed by Wes Craven, who died in 2015. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett direct the film which is written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.

Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Roger L. Jackson, and Marley Shelton return in their original roles. The new film also stars Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar, and Kyle Gallner.

The film is produced by Vanderbilt, Chad Villella, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak, with original screenwriter Kevin Williamson serving as an executive producer. Scream was produced by Spyglass Media Group, Radio Silence Productions, Project X Entertainment, Outerbanks Entertainment, and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Scream hits cinemas on 14th January 2022.
