Feel The Noise: The Music That Shaped Britain – Watch the trailer for the new music documentary

Feel The Noise: The Music That Shaped Britain (formerly OUR GENERATION: MUSIC THAT SHAPED BRITAIN) is the story of the music that shaped the country, and the impact it had on each generation. It’s the music that defined the movements of our times, challenged Britain to fight the power, and became the soundtrack to our lives.

This feature-length documentary takes an in-depth, rollercoaster look at the role of music in British culture throughout the decades, from the meteoric rise of icons like The Beatles in the late sixties, through the glam and punk of the 70s, the Acid House raves of the 80s and the era of “Cool Britannia” ushered in with the rise of Britpop in the 90s.

Launching exclusively on BritBox on Thursday 26th August, FEEL THE NOISE features some of the biggest names in British music, fashion, politics and culture including Alex James (Blur), Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays), Noddy Holder (Slade), Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet), Pauline Black (The Selecter), Twiggy (model) and Cliff Richard. The contributors discuss the part they played in these radical musical shifts, complemented by rarely seen archive footage.
