10 Most Anticipated TV Shows 2021 Will Bring Us

Travelling and offline entertainment will soon be available again. So the next month or so is the last chance to pretend like we do not want to stay at home and watch TV, gamble online safely, or play video games. It is a perfect opportunity to catch up on the best 2021 shows that have been released so far and create a to-watch list for the second half of the year.

#1 Clarice

One of the most anticipated TV shows of 2021 is Clarice, yet another screen adaptation of Thomas Harris’s series about a serial killer and cannibal Hannibal Lecter. Except, Clarice is different from the previous adaptations in that it is told from a female perspective, namely that of FBI Agent Clarice Starling. Clarice follows the events of Silence of the Lambs.

#2 The Underground Railroad

The Underground Railroad is a bit indie compared to the rest of the shows on this list, but it is well worth anyone’s attention. The show premiered about two weeks ago and has earned quite a lot of praise from critics. It focuses on an ambitious escape from slavery in the 1800s and is a screen adaptation of the novel of the same name.

#3 WandaVision

WandaVision was released back in January and has enjoyed viewers’ attention ever since. In particular, it is a must-see for every Marvel universe, even though the style and plot of the show may come as a surprise to everyone who followed Scarlet Witch and Vision’s separate journeys in the past. It takes WandaVision’s one-minute trailer to realize that the show is nothing like your typical Marvel.

#4 It’s a Sin

It’s a Sin is perhaps the best TV show released in 2021 so far. Focused on the London LGBT community during the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s, it follows the lives of a group of friends over the course of 10 years. It’s a Sin is not a light watch by any means, but do not deny yourself the pleasure and education it offers.

#5 Firefly Lane

Firefly Lane is perfect for everyone who enjoys a good comfort watch that is not cheesy. It follows the lives of two childhood friends over the course of several decades. Firefly Lane is sweet, sad, and lovely. Every person with a heart is guaranteed to love it.

#6 Loki

Scheduled to premiere in about two weeks, on June 9, Marvel’s new show Loki promises to be a real treat for every fan of Marvel or Tom Hiddleston. It was (kinda) foreshadowed in Avengers: Endgame and heavily promoted for the last year or so. By the way, it is already confirmed that Loki will have at least one more season, so do not be afraid that you will have to say goodbye to Loki’s lovable character.

#7 Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl (2021) is a remake of the classics that teenagers across the globe were obsessed with ten years ago. The cast is all fresh to the industry and pretty, so viewers can at least expect a treat for the eye. Get ready for breathtaking looks and dramatic shenanigans of the Manhattan elite – Gossip Girl will hit the screens this July.

#8 Elite (Season 4)

Alongside Money Heist, Elite is one of the most popular Spanish TV shows on Netflix. The show may be a bit soapy and overly dramatic, but it is a perfect guilty pleasure. The cast is very diverse and almost too good-looking. The ending of Season 3 and Elite’s creators promise some massive changes in Season 4, but we are all here for it.

#9 The Kominsky Method (Season 3)

Viewers and critics adore The Kominsky Method, and rightly so. The dramedy about an aging acting coach and his best friend who has recently lost his wife is equal parts endearing, tragic, and hilarious. The third season is announced as The Kominsky Method’s last one. It is scheduled for May 28.

#10 Dexter (Season 9)

Dexter needs no introductions. The first eight seasons (2006-2013) of the show about an ‘ethical vigilante serial killer’ gained almost a cult following when they aired. The ninth (and probably last) season of the show is expected this fall, but no precise date is announced so far.
