Check out Tom Holland as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie

Tom Holland (Spider-Man) has shared a new image of him in costume as Nathan Drake in the film adaptation of the classic video game series, Uncharted.

The film has been in development hell for years with various actors and directors involved at various points. Holland is playing a younger version of the character and the film is acting as a prequel and showing elements from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception where Drake meets his long time ally, Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) is the latest director attached to the project and it looks like things are finally going ahead.

Uncharted also stars Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle.

Nolan North voiced the character in all the video games and he shared this image where he met up with Tom Holland.

I am still not sure how I feel about this. I always wanted Nathan Fillion to play Drake (the short film he made showing that was excellent), but at least going with Holland means that, if the film is a success, he will be able to play the character for a good long while. He also has the physical skills to do many of the stunts that are bound to occur through the film. I suppose we will just have to wait and see.

Uncharted is an Arad/Atlas Entertainment Production, with Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad producing.

What are your thoughts on the new film?
