District 9 is heading to 4K

From writer/director Neill Blomkamp (Chappie) comes the startlingly original science fiction thriller District 9 debuting on 4k Ultra HD on October 19 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Starring Sharlto Copley (Chappie, TV’s Powers) and produced by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) DISTRICT 9 was nominated for four 2009 Academy Awards® including Best Picture.

With stunning special effects and gritty realism, the film plunges us into a world where the aliens have landed… only to be exiled to a slum on the fringes of Johannesburg.
